Westerham is a small historic market town in the district of Sevenoaks, in the county of Kent, England. Nestled at the foot of the North Downs beside the upper reaches of the River Darent, it has a compact Tudor and Georgian high street and acts as a gateway to popular walking country and rolling landscapes.
Just outside the town sits Chartwell, the former home of Winston Churchill, which helps keep tourism important to the local economy; the town also boasts St Mary’s Church, independent shops, antiques and traditional pubs. Good road and rail links make it a commuter base for London, while village events, farming and outdoor pursuits shape everyday community life.
