Priory is an electoral ward within the Borough of Swale in Kent, England, covering part of the urban area around Sittingbourne. It combines residential streets and local shops with small patches of green space and community facilities, giving it a town-centre-but-local feel rather than a purely suburban one.
The ward reflects the wider town’s industrial heritage - paper mills and brickworks shaped the local economy - and today many residents commute using nearby rail and road links towards Maidstone and London. Socially it is mixed in tenure and age, and like much of the borough has seen incremental regeneration and community-led activities aimed at improving services and public space.
