Clifford is a small village and civil parish in the metropolitan borough of Leeds, in West Yorkshire, lying to the east of the city. Set in a rural landscape of farmland and hedgerows, it retains a compact village core with stone-built houses and traditional farmsteads, giving it a distinctly village feel despite being within commuting distance of larger towns.
Historically centred on agriculture and local trades, Clifford now functions largely as a residential community for people working in Leeds and surrounding areas, yet it keeps a strong local identity through its parish council, village hall, pub and community events. The village has several older buildings of architectural interest and a local emphasis on conservation and preserving its historic character.
