Drighlington is a village in the City of Leeds metropolitan borough in West Yorkshire, sitting on the A650 roughly between Leeds and Bradford and within easy reach of Wakefield and the M62 corridor. Its location on the edge of the urban area gives it good transport links while still feeling distinct from the surrounding towns.
Historically an agricultural settlement that grew alongside the industrial towns of the region, Drighlington retains a compact village centre of stone-built houses, local shops, pubs and community facilities. Today it largely functions as a commuter village with small businesses and local services, a strong sense of community and easy access to the wider Leeds–Bradford economy.
