Stoney Stanton is a village and civil parish in the district of Blaby, in the county of Leicestershire, England. It sits a few miles south-west of Leicester and close to Hinckley, forming part of the East Midlands commuter belt and with a population of roughly 6,000.
Historically the settlement grew up around local stone quarrying and small-scale trades such as framework knitting, and you can still see characterful stone buildings and the scars of old quarries in the landscape; today it is largely residential with local shops, pubs, a parish church and active community groups, while many residents commute to nearby towns and cities.
