Barlestone is a small village and civil parish in the district of Hinckley and Bosworth, in Leicestershire, England, set in the gentle countryside of the county and close to Market Bosworth. Its compact centre, village green and surrounding farmland give it a distinctly rural feel despite being within easy reach of larger towns.
Historically the village expanded in the 19th and early 20th centuries around coal mining and agriculture, and although the pits have long gone it retains a strong community spirit with a primary school, village hall, sports clubs and pubs; many residents now commute to Hinckley, Nuneaton and Coventry. Local events and active societies help keep social life lively, making it a popular semi‑rural spot for families and walkers exploring Leicestershire.
