Bagworth is a small village in the district of Hinckley and Bosworth in Leicestershire, England, set in gently rolling Midlands countryside to the west of Leicester. It has a compact village centre with a parish church, a handful of pubs and community facilities, and many residents now commute to nearby towns or along the M1 corridor.
Historically Bagworth was shaped by coal mining - Bagworth Colliery and related rail links dominated the local economy until closures in the late 20th century - and that industrial past is still visible in reclaimed spoil-heaps, walking trails and former railway alignments. The village retains a strong local community with clubs and events, and is a handy base for exploring neighbouring settlements such as Coalville and Market Bosworth and the wider Leicestershire countryside.
