Fosdyke is a small village and civil parish in the Borough of Boston, Lincolnshire, England, sitting on the south bank of the River Welland close to its outfall into The Wash. The setting is classic low-lying fenland and saltmarsh, with wide skies, tidal creeks and notable birdlife, and long views across reclaimed farmland to the estuary.
The local economy is largely agricultural, shaped by drainage and sea-defence works that have defined the area for centuries; historically the village served river traffic and small-scale coastal trade and is overlooked by the mechanical crossing at Fosdyke Bridge. Today it remains a small, close-knit community with a village hall, church and recreational boating and fishing on the river while many residents travel into Boston or further afield for work and services.
