Marshchapel is a small village and civil parish in the district of East Lindsey, in coastal Lincolnshire, England. It sits on low-lying, reclaimed marshland a short distance inland from the Humber Estuary, roughly between Louth and Grimsby, and its flat landscape and drainage channels are typical of the area.
The village has medieval origins and a parish church at its heart, and its economy has long been tied to agriculture and market gardening on the fertile clay soils of the marsh. Socially it remains a close-knit rural community with a village hall, primary school and local events that reflect its agricultural heritage, while proximity to nearby ports and towns has historically provided additional employment and trade links.
