Holbeach is a traditional market town in the district of South Holland, in the low-lying fen country of Lincolnshire, England. Sited close to The Wash and not far from Spalding, it sits in fertile reclaimed marshland and has the flat, open landscape typical of The Fens.
The local economy is dominated by intensive agriculture and food processing - vegetables, bulbs and cereals - reflecting centuries of drainage and land reclamation, while the town retains a compact high street, community clubs and a sense of rural history. Nearby features such as Holbeach Marsh and the military training area at RAF Holbeach add coastal and defence dimensions to the town’s character.
