Sutton Bridge is a village and civil parish in the South Holland district of Lincolnshire, England, sited where the River Nene reaches the tidal flats of The Wash. The surrounding flat Fens landscape of reclaimed marshland gives the area an expansive, agricultural feel of arable fields, drains and pumping stations, while the river and estuary lend a maritime edge and a long history of flood and coastal management.
Historically the settlement grew up around the river crossing and later docks, and there is an airfield with RAF heritage known locally as RAF Sutton Bridge; those layers of maritime, military and industrial past sit alongside a present-day economy based on farming, small port operations and related services. Community life is quiet and practical, centred on local clubs, pubs and a parish church, with wildlife, birdwatching and industrial archaeology drawing occasional visitors to this strategically sited Fenland village.
