The neighbouring villages of Walpole St. Peter and Walpole St. Andrew sit in the flat, reclaimed landscape of the Fens in the district of King's Lynn and West Norfolk, Norfolk, England. Known collectively as the Walpoles, they are defined by drainage ditches, remnant windpumps and wide arable fields; agriculture and horticulture remain the economic backbone, giving the area a strongly rural character.
Both villages retain medieval church buildings and several listed structures that tell of a long rural history, and local life revolves around village halls, clubs and occasional fetes, while many residents commute to nearby towns such as King's Lynn or Wisbech. The surrounding wetlands are also important for wildlife, with wintering and breeding birds drawing interest from local conservation groups.
