Middle Rasen

Middle Rasen is a village and civil parish in the district of West Lindsey, in Lincolnshire, England. It lies in the valley of the River Rase close to the market town of Market Rasen and the rolling farmland on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, giving a pleasing mix of attractive countryside and reasonable commuting access to larger centres such as Lincoln and Grimsby.

With medieval roots and a number of historic buildings, the village today has an economy that leans on agriculture and small local enterprises, while many residents travel outwards for work. Community life is notable for its village hall, church and local pubs, and the locality benefits from nearby attractions such as the Market Rasen racecourse and regular market and cultural events in the surrounding towns.
