Wickenby is a small village and civil parish in the district of West Lindsey, in rural Lincolnshire, England, set amid arable farmland a few miles north‑east of Lincoln. The landscape is typical lowland Lincolnshire: wide fields, drainage ditches and scattered stone and brick cottages rather than a compact urban centre.
The village is best known for RAF Wickenby, a Second World War Bomber Command station that today operates as Wickenby Airfield, home to light aircraft, aviation businesses and a memorial to the aircrews; that legacy gives the area a strong aviation identity alongside its agricultural economy. Community life is that of a small parish - a close‑knit local population, occasional village events and easy links into nearby Lincoln for services and markets.
