Plashet is an electoral ward in the London Borough of Newham, in east London. It occupies a largely residential pocket between East Ham and Upton Park, characterised by a mix of Victorian terraces and post‑war housing, with local green spaces such as Plashet Park giving the area a suburban feel amid the city.
The ward is ethnically diverse and socially active, with many small independent shops, community centres and places of worship serving long‑standing and newer residents alike. Well connected into central London by nearby rail and tube links, Plashet also feels the pressures and opportunities of wider east London regeneration - from local housing change to modest commercial renewal.
