Carbrooke is a village and civil parish in the district of Breckland, in Norfolk, England. It sits in gently rolling arable countryside typical of the Brecks, with pockets of heathland and woodland nearby, and is a few miles from market towns such as Watton and Swaffham, while Thetford and Norwich are within easy reach for commuting and services.
The village has a traditionally agricultural character but today combines farming with small businesses and a commuter population; community life centres on a village hall, pub and local clubs, and there are several historic buildings including a medieval parish church. The surrounding Brecks landscape gives the area interest for walkers, birdwatchers and anyone curious about Norfolkâs distinctive lowland heath ecology and rural heritage.
