Lingwood is a small village in the district of Broadland in Norfolk, England, set in the low-lying, gently flat landscape typical of the county. It sits roughly ten miles east of Norwich and en route towards Great Yarmouth, close enough to the reed-fringed waterways of the Norfolk Broads to feel the influence of that popular leisure landscape.
Historically an agricultural settlement, Lingwood retains a village character with pockets of Victorian and 20th-century housing and a modest local centre; today it combines local trades and farming with a commuter population served by a station on the Wherry Lines. Community life centres on the village hall, school and occasional local events, while proximity to the Broads brings some tourism and outdoor recreation to the local economy.
