Ormesby St. Margaret is a small village and civil parish in the borough of Great Yarmouth, in Norfolk, lying a few miles inland from the east coast. It sits on low-lying agricultural fenland close to the waterways of the Norfolk Broads, notably near Ormesby Broad, so boating, birdwatching and other wetland wildlife pursuits are easy to access.
Historically an agricultural community with a traditional parish church and a handful of older houses, the local economy now mixes farming with tourism and commuters travelling to Great Yarmouth or Norwich. Village life is quietly centred on community amenities and seasonal events that reflect the rhythms of rural Norfolk.
