West Walton is a small village and civil parish in the district of King's Lynn and West Norfolk in the county of Norfolk, lying close to the border with Cambridgeshire and the market town of Wisbech. It occupies flat fenland that drains towards the Wash, with surrounding arable farmland and a local geology notable enough to have lent its name to the Jurassic West Walton Formation.
Historically a rural settlement with medieval roots, the village retains a compact community centred on its parish church and a few local amenities, while many people commute to nearby centres such as King's Lynn or Wisbech. Agriculture and fenland drainage have long shaped the economy and landscape, giving West Walton a quiet, agricultural character distinct from the busier coastal and market towns in the region.
