Newton-in-the-Isle is a small village and civil parish in the Fenland district of Cambridgeshire, England. It occupies a slightly raised "isle" within the low-lying The Fens, close to the market town of March, and is marked by wide skies, drainage channels, dykes and the flat, open agricultural landscape typical of the area.
Historically the name reflects medieval settlement on higher ground amid marsh and the village's identity is tied to the long story of fen reclamation and water management. The local economy is largely agricultural, with intensive arable and vegetable production, while socially it remains a close-knit rural community centred on its parish church, village hall and occasional local events, with commuting to nearby towns also common.
