Felbrigg is a small rural parish in North Norfolk, set a few miles inland from the north Norfolk coast and not far from market towns such as Holt and Cromer. The landscape is typical of the area: rolling arable farmland interspersed with parkland, veteran trees and woodland paths. Its best-known landmark is Felbrigg Hall, a country house with historic gardens and estate managed by the National Trust, and the parish church of St Margaret with several notable monuments to local families.
Historically the estate has strong local associations with the Windham family and its history is reflected in the house and grounds, which draw walkers and visitors throughout the year. The local economy is largely agricultural, supplemented by tourism tied to the hall, countryside walks and occasional cultural events, while the parish itself remains a quiet, close-knit community within easy reach of Norwich and the coast.
