Ditchingham is a village and civil parish in South Norfolk in the county of Norfolk, England, situated on the south bank of the River Waveney close to the market town of Bungay. It lies in the Waveney Valley where water meadows, marshes and pockets of ancient woodland link the village to the landscape of the nearby Norfolk Broads, making it popular for riverside walks and birdwatching.
The village is dominated by the riverside estate of Ditchingham Hall, long associated with the Buxton family, and retains a medieval church alongside a handful of shops, a pub and active community groups. The local economy is largely rural - farming and small businesses - while many residents commute to Norwich and other towns, so the place blends historic character with a quietly engaged community and easy access to surrounding countryside and waterways.
