Kirton in Lindsey is a small market town and civil parish in North Lincolnshire, set on the ridge of the Lincoln Cliff which gives long views across the surrounding fen and estuary plain. The compact centre has a mix of Georgian and Victorian buildings clustered around a traditional market area and a historic parish church, reflecting its origins as an agricultural market settlement.
Historically tied to farming, the town also grew around a nearby airfield – RAF Kirton-in-Lindsey – and today supports local shops, small businesses and commuters who work in larger centres such as Scunthorpe and Lincoln. Community life is lively for a town of its size, with clubs, annual events and a strong local identity rooted in rural Lincolnshire.
