Locking is a small village and civil parish in North Somerset, located just a few miles inland from the Bristol Channel and close to Weston-super-Mare. It sits on the fringe of the low-lying Somerset Levels with easy access to the M5, and has views across towards the Mendip Hills and, on a clear day, Bristol.
The village has a strong community feel and a notable recent past as the site of RAF Locking, a long‑running Royal Air Force technical and training station whose land has largely been redeveloped for housing and local businesses as part of the Locking Parklands project.
