Tickenham is a small rural village and civil parish in North Somerset, a few miles west of Bristol and close to the coastal town of Clevedon. Set on gently rolling countryside above the low-lying levels near the Severn Estuary, it sits amid farmland, hedgerows and small woodlands with pleasant views towards the Mendip Hills.
The village has medieval roots and retains several listed buildings, including an historic parish church and a former manor house; historically agriculture dominated the area and today it remains largely residential with many people commuting into Bristol. Local farms, small businesses and a compact community life centred on the village hall and occasional events help preserve a strong local identity despite modern development pressures.
