Nailsea is a town in North Somerset, England, sitting on the western fringe of Bristol's commuter belt and close to the open uplands of the Mendip Hills. The town backs onto Nailsea Moor and benefits from good road and rail connections into Bristol, being served by Nailsea & Backwell railway station.
Historically Nailsea grew around coal mining and a notable glass industry in the 18th and 19th centuries, and you can still find reminders of that industrial past locally. Today it is largely a residential and family-focused community with independent shops, active local clubs and events, easy access to countryside walks and to the nearby Victorian estate at Tyntesfield, making it popular with commuters who want quick city access but a semi-rural lifestyle.
