Yatton is a large village and civil parish in North Somerset, England, set on the floodplain of the River Yeo between Bristol and Weston-super-Mare. It sits at the edge of the agricultural lowlands with the Mendip Hills rising not far to the south, and serves as a transport hub with a railway station on the Bristol–Weston line and good road links that make it popular with commuters.
There’s a distinct historic core and a strong local community life: a medieval parish church and a number of listed buildings give the centre a village-y character, while local shops, farms and small businesses keep the economy mixed. Yatton is also a gateway to the converted Cheddar Valley railway route known locally as the Strawberry Line, a well-used walking and cycling corridor that highlights the area’s rural and horticultural heritage.
