Corbridge is an attractive ward in north‑west Northumberland, sited on the north bank of the River Tyne a short drive west of Newcastle and just east of Hexham. The ward covers the village and surrounding farmland and hamlets, and its position on the A69 and the Tyne Valley rail line makes it a popular base for commuters as well as visitors.
The area is best known for its Roman remains at Corbridge Roman Town and its compact, stone‑built centre of independent shops, antique dealers and cafes; tourism, agriculture and local services are important to the economy. A strong sense of community, a conservation‑area character and proximity to Hadrian's Wall give it a mix of historic interest and countryside appeal.
