Swalcliffe is a small village and civil parish in the Cherwell district of Oxfordshire, England, lying a few miles south of Banbury. Set in rolling arable countryside, the settlement is made up of limestone and thatch cottages clustered around a medieval parish church with Norman origins and a historic manor house set in parkland, now home to Swalcliffe Park School, a residential special school.
Historically agricultural, the parish is characterised by ridge-and-furrow fields, hedgerow-lined lanes and a handful of listed buildings; today many residents commute to nearby towns while farming remains visible in the landscape. Community life is centred on the church, village events and the school, giving Swalcliffe a quietly picturesque character that mixes historic interest with contemporary rural living.
