Chalgrove is a village and civil parish about seven miles south‑east of Oxford in South Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire, England. It sits in the low-lying countryside of the Thame valley, surrounded by arable farmland and rolling hills; nearby Chalgrove Field is a noted English Civil War site where John Hampden was wounded in 1643.
The community keeps a strong village feel with a medieval parish church, village hall, pubs, a primary school and active sports clubs. Historically agricultural, the parish later hosted an RAF base - now Chalgrove Airfield - and today combines local businesses, aircraft maintenance and occasional film work with many residents commuting into Oxford and the wider region.
