West Hagbourne is a small village and civil parish in the district of South Oxfordshire, in the county of Oxfordshire, England. It sits amid gently rolling farmland on the edge of the Vale of White Horse, a short distance from the market town of Didcot and the science and technology cluster around Harwell.
Historically it was in Berkshire until the 1974 local-government boundary changes; today its character remains largely rural, with agriculture and smallholdings alongside a number of commuters who travel from nearby Didcot Parkway into Oxford, Reading or London. The village has a close-knit community, enjoyed footpaths and lanes for walkers, and benefits economically from proximity to research and light industry at Harwell Campus, giving a mix of traditional countryside life and modern employment opportunities.
