Burnham Without is a civil parish in Somerset, England, forming a largely rural hinterland to the coastal town of Burnham-on-Sea. The parish sits on the low-lying Somerset Levels close to Bridgwater Bay and the Severn Estuary, with a landscape of farmland, drainage ditches and salt marshes that support notable birdlife and give the area a distinctive coastal–inland character.
Its history is shaped by centuries of reclamation and drainage for agriculture, and today the local economy remains mainly farming with some commuters and benefits from nearby seaside tourism. Social life is typically village-centred and dispersed, with parish meetings, village halls and country footpaths drawing walkers and birdwatchers who appreciate the quiet lanes and coastal views.
