Henstridge Marsh lies just outside the village of Henstridge in south Somerset, England. It is a low-lying wetland of meadows, ditches and seasonal pools tucked into the valley bottom, where clay soils and a high water table create reedbeds and marshy grassland rather than arable fields.
Historically the area would have been managed as hay meadow and common grazing and today it is chiefly valued for wildlife, supporting waterfowl, waders, amphibians and a rich invertebrate fauna, and for quiet recreation by local walkers and naturalists. Conservation-minded management by landowners and volunteers seeks to maintain that biodiversity and the site's role in local flood attenuation and landscape character, rather than intensive economic use.
