North Cadbury is a small village and civil parish in Somerset, lying in the rolling clay vales of South Somerset and within easy reach of the A303 and market towns such as Yeovil and Castle Cary. The name reflects the Old English roots common to the area and the landscape is a patchwork of mixed farmland, hedgerows and small wooded combes typical of the region.
The village has a quietly historic feel, with a medieval parish church and the notable country house North Cadbury Court among its built heritage, and a strong local community centred on village events, the church and parish council. Economically it remains largely agricultural with some rural diversification into tourism, small businesses and commuting to nearby towns.
