Keynsham is a market town in Bath and North East Somerset, positioned roughly midway between Bristol and Bath. It sits at the confluence of the River Avon and the River Chew, giving it extensive riverside walks and parks and the riverside ruins of Keynsham Abbey, and it benefits from good rail and road links that make it a popular commuter base for both cities.
Today the town combines a compact high street with several retail and business parks, local leisure facilities and active community groups; its character still reflects industrial chapters of the past, notably the former chocolate works, but the modern economy is largely retail and service‑oriented and the town retains a lively community feel with regular events and plenty of green space.
