Swynnerton is a small village and civil parish in the borough of Stafford, in Staffordshire, England. It lies a few miles northeast of Stafford and close to the market town of Stone, set among gently rolling farmland and estate parkland typical of central Staffordshire; the local economy is still largely rural, with farming and estate management alongside some light industry and business uses in the wider district.
Historically the village developed around the local estate and the country house Swynnerton Hall, and the area underwent significant change in the 20th century when parts of the estate were used for munitions production and later MOD storage - sites that have featured in modern redevelopment proposals. Today Swynnerton retains a village character with an active parish community, hedged fields and woodland valued by residents and walkers, and a quiet mix of historic interest and rural life.
