Fornham St. Martin is a small village and civil parish in West Suffolk, in the county of Suffolk, England, lying on the north bank of the River Lark a few miles north of Bury St Edmunds. The surrounding landscape is characteristically low-lying East Anglian countryside - arable fields, meadows and parkland - and the settlement now combines a working rural community with a number of residents who commute into nearby towns.
The village is historically notable as the vicinity of the 1173 Battle of Fornham during the Revolt of 1173–74, and its medieval past is still evident in the parish church of St Martin and in local place-names. Community life centres on the church and village amenities, with walkers and anglers drawn to the river and the quiet lanes that criss-cross this part of Suffolk.
