West Stow is a small, largely rural parish in West Suffolk, Suffolk, England, a few miles north of Bury St Edmunds. It occupies low-lying arable land and wetland in the valley of the River Lark, with open fields and pockets of woodland that reflect the character of the surrounding The Brecks landscape and a popular recreation area at West Stow Country Park.
The parish is best known for the reconstructed early medieval settlement at West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village, the public archaeology and museum site that grew from major excavations in the 1960s and attracts school groups and visitors, helping to supplement an economy still rooted in farming; the community itself remains small and dispersed, with village life centred on local events and the countryside setting.
