Ewell is a suburban town in the borough of Epsom and Ewell in Surrey, England, sitting on the springs that feed the River Hogsmill and lying close to the chalk open space of Epsom Downs. It has a compact high street, plenty of green space and the feel of a village within the London commuter belt, with good rail and road links into the capital.
Locally notable for its long history, Ewell yields Roman finds and medieval references and is served by community-focused attractions such as Bourne Hall, with easy access to Nonsuch Park - the landscaped remnant of a Tudor royal park. Today it’s largely residential with a mixed local economy of shops and small businesses, active conservation areas and a steady programme of community events.
