Warlingham is a village in the borough of Tandridge, Surrey, England, set on the slope of the North Downs with open views across the surrounding countryside and out towards London about fifteen miles to the north. Its elevated position gives a distinctly semi-rural feel despite being within easy reach of the capital, and the village sits within greenbelt countryside that preserves nearby woodlands and chalk downland.
Once a farming community, Warlingham retains a historic core with older houses and a traditional parish church, but today is largely a prosperous commuter village with a compact high street of shops and pubs, active community groups and sports clubs. The local economy is dominated by small businesses and services serving residents, and the village’s conservation areas and regular community events help maintain a strong social identity.
