Saltisford is an inner-urban ward of Warwick in Warwickshire, lying close to the town’s historic core and within easy walking distance of Warwick Castle. It occupies a compact area where town-centre streets meet the canal, so the feel is a mix of Victorian terraces, more recent apartment conversions and a handful of small businesses and pubs that serve a largely residential community.
The quarter is probably best known for the Saltisford Basin on the Oxford Canal, historically a busy wharf and industrial hub and now a quieter, largely redeveloped waterside spot with moored narrowboats, offices and leisure uses. That canal heritage gives the area a distinctive character and occasional community events, while good local shops and straightforward road and rail links keep it tied into the wider Warwick economy and social life.
