Brixworth is a large village and civil parish in West Northamptonshire, about six miles north of Northampton. It sits on gently rolling Northamptonshire countryside and lies close to Pitsford Reservoir and the recreational Brixworth Country Park, both popular for walking, birdwatching and watersports.
The village is best known for its impressive 7th–8th‑century Anglo‑Saxon church, one of the largest and most complete survivals in England, which gives the place a strong historical identity. Today Brixworth combines a largely commuter population with local shops, pubs, a primary school and active community clubs and events, making it a lively rural centre with easy access to surrounding towns and countryside.
