Walberton is a compact village and civil parish in the district of Arun, in West Sussex, England, lying a few miles inland from the south coast and within easy reach of Arundel and Chichester. Its setting feels typically downland–coastal, with rolling fields and lanes that lead towards the South Downs, giving the village a mix of rural character and good access to nearby towns.
Historically agricultural, Walberton retains a number of older houses and a medieval church, and the village atmosphere is kept lively by local pubs, a village hall and school and a steady programme of community events. While many residents commute to neighbouring towns, small-scale farming, market gardening and local businesses still contribute to the parish’s economy, and conservation-minded development has helped preserve much of its historic and scenic charm.
