Westhampnett is a small historic village and civil parish just to the north‑west of Chichester in West Sussex, England. It sits on the edge of the chalk ridge of the South Downs overlooking the flatter Chichester plain, with a compact settlement pattern surrounded by farmland and estate woodlands.
The parish is notable for containing much of the famous Goodwood estate, so local life is shaped by agriculture alongside a busy events and visitor economy – the racecourse, motor circuit and Goodwood aerodrome bring large crowds for horse racing, historic motor meetings and air displays. A small, village social scene and an old parish church give it a distinctly rural and historic character despite the proximity to the cathedral city of Chichester.
