Great Bedwyn is a village and civil parish in Wiltshire, England, set in the Kennet valley and crossed by the Kennet and Avon Canal and the River Dun. It lies close to chalk downland and the wooded sweep of Savernake Forest, so the area mixes riverside and canal scenery with woodland and walking country favoured by boaters and ramblers.
The village has medieval roots and retains a historic church and several listed buildings, while its economy remains largely rural with farms and local services. Great Bedwyn is also served by a railway station with links to Reading and onward to London, which gives it a commuter dimension alongside a lively local community life.
