Pewsey Vale West sits on the western side of the Vale of Pewsey in Wiltshire, England, a patchwork of chalk downland, river meadows and hedgerow farmland. The ward is framed by the Salisbury Plain and the Pewsey Downs, with the Kennet and Avon Canal and the River Avon nearby, making it popular for walking, birdwatching and other rural recreation.
Predominantly agricultural, Pewsey Vale West combines long‑established farms and small local businesses with commuters who use good road and rail links to larger towns and to London. The area has a strong village‑centred community life, seasonal events and conservation activity, and the landscape bears traces of deep history from Neolithic and Bronze Age sites through to medieval churches.
