Whiteparish is a small rural parish in Wiltshire, lying a few miles south of Salisbury near the Hampshire border and the edge of the New Forest. Set on chalk downland with small lanes, farms and pockets of woodland, it retains a compact historic core of cottages and a notable parish church that gives the village its name - traditionally thought to refer to a whitewashed church or similar local feature.
Historically agricultural, Whiteparish now combines farming with a number of local businesses and people who commute to nearby towns. The village has an active community life centred on a village hall, primary school and local pub, with seasonal events and conservation interest in its surrounding landscapes and lanes.
