Shurlock Row is a small, quintessentially rural village in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in Berkshire, set among rolling farmland, woods and quiet country lanes. It has medieval roots and still shows period cottages and a village green feel, while being within easy reach of larger towns such as Maidenhead and Windsor and commuter links to Reading and London.
The village has a lively local community with a village hall, pubs and clubs, and a noticeable equestrian and agricultural presence - stables, riding and small farms are common. Economically it is largely residential, attractive to commuters and countryside seekers, but retains a strong sense of place and rural traditions despite development pressures on the fringes.
