Milton of Leys is a modern residential suburb on the south‑eastern edge of Inverness in the Highland council area of Scotland. Perched on gently rising ground, it offers open views across the city towards the Moray coast and Moray Firth, and feels distinctly more suburban than the older town centre - lots of recent housing, green spaces and easy road links into the city.
The area has grown rapidly since the late 20th century, attracting families and commuters working in public services, tourism and the regional energy sector; it has its own primary school and an active community spirit. For history buffs the nearby Culloden battlefield and visitor centre are a short drive away, so residents enjoy both contemporary conveniences and immediate access to one of the Highlands’ most significant historic landscapes.
