North Kessock is a small village on the northern shore of the Beauly Firth at the edge of the Black Isle in the Highland council area of Scotland. Sitting beside the northern end of the Kessock Bridge, it looks across the water to Inverness and serves as a quiet gateway between the city and the peninsula.
Historically a ferry and fishing community, North Kessock retains a working-harbour feel and a strong local identity; the old ferry route was replaced by the bridge in the early 1980s. The village is popular with visitors and commuters for its coastal walks, attractive firth views and frequent sightings of seals and bottlenose dolphins, while active community groups keep village life lively.
